Q: How do we
get started?
A: I'll schedule a
convenient time to get together and evaluate your personal needs. This will
determine what options will work best for you and what foods you prefer. Then
we'll select a cook day. It's as simple as that.
Q: How will meals be
prepared/packaged?
A: I will typically
spend 5-7 hours in your kitchen using my portable kitchen kit to assemble and
cook your meals. I will then package your food in freezer/microwavable safe
containers (Pyrex or disposables are available). I label all containers with
cook date/recipe. The meals come with complete thawing/reheating
instructions.
Q: Will you
prepare meals from my personal recipes?
A: Yes! Your family can still sit down to their favorite recipes. I
will test these recipes for freezing and flavor to ensure a quality dish
first.
Q: Can I use the
service part-time?
A: Absolutely! I can
accomodate your lifestyle needs for any given month.
Q: Do I need to sign a contract?
A: No. Unless you want to guarantee service on specific
days each month.
Q: What is
your cancellation policy?
A: A three
day advanced notice is required for all services. All deposits are
non-refundable after that.
Q: How do I pay for the service?
A: It is customary to pay in advance for your grocery items. You pay
for my chef services on the cook date. Clients prefer to pay for the next
session's groceries at this time also.
Q: Are gift certificates available?
A: Yes. By purchasing a Savoring Thyme gift
certificate, you know the recipient will be receiving a useful gift that will
fit their exact needs.
Q: Is
this affordable?
A: Something to
consider - the average family spends approximately $375 weekly on groceries,
fast foods, and restaurants. The same family loses over 16 hours per week
shopping, cooking, driving, and cleaning up. Many customers also save more by
simply spending less time in stores thus reducing impulse buys. Also ask
